State Trooper Sparky Dean
Trooper Dean has been with the Texas Department of Public Safety since 1977. In 1994 he began working at Safety City, just one of his many job responsibilities. Trooper Dean wants to remind you why it is important to wear your bicycle helmet when driving your bicycle:
  1. A bruise to the brain does not heal like a bruise on your arm.
  2. Your brain is what makes you unique. Wearing a bicycle helmet is important to Maintain Your Brain!

Fire Medic J. Sanders
Fire Medic J. Sanders has been on the Abilene Fire Department for nine years. He has lived in Abilene his whole life. He was married in 1997 and has four children. J. loves the Abilene Community and wants to make it a better place for everyone to live in. J. believes if we can reach children at a young enough age with Fire Prevention programs that we can save lives in the future.
